Should men remove body hair?

I was thinking about this cos I've been going to they gym a lot recently and had been getting a bit disheartened by my seeming lack of progress. Anyway although I haven't got a particularly hairy chest I sometimes shave it anyway. And when I did this time, some muscle tone was actually revealed and I realised I had made progress and the hair had been hiding it. So for this reason I've decided to probably keep my chest hair-free in future.

But what do you think about men and body hair? After all society expects women to be hair free yet it's somehow more acceptable for men to be all hairy. So should men have equal license to get rid of hair on their body? Or is this all symptomatic of the feminisation of society?

It depends on the individual, but I dont think men should shave their chests.

I only trim hair to keep it short. Removing it altogether would involve shaving (too time consuming) or waxing (more painful than sticking your arm in a volcano!).
Its totally the preferance of the person whose hair it is... I used to shave my chest because my g/f liked it, but after we broke up kept it hair free because it looked alot better.
sometimes I trim my 'snail trail' down but thats all I have hairy legs but I don't bother removing any hair or anything, don't see the point

course some do, or at least some have chests that are barely hairy at all, trust me on this. I personally think too much hair is yukky, a little is OK, but back hair should be removed post haste, oh and it is never Ok for a guy to shave his armpits it just looks sooooooo totally weird ugh

Then should girls keep all their armpit hair too??

I personally dont like it when men shave anything apart from their face. Its just a bit bizarre.

I do not think men should trim (remove) chest hair... I have never heard before about that. But back and underarm hair must be.
