Pen and paper. I can absolute bullbearings has nothing to do with trading and only very little to do with investing.

Why is that?
Wow, what a grammar fail... I should sleep soon.

LSE AIC onto Mahiki until 3am, flight at 6am and traded on landing for the whole day and doing the email backlog and news catch up...

Because you can go look up the definition of trading and then look up the definition of saving (or 'investing').

Then you can see what you can do bullbearings and then you really ought to agree with me, or else, poor you.

Fantasy Stock Exchange/KaChing, the Good thing is it's quite high-techy, the bad thing is that it only works on S&P 500

an explanation may be needed, simply restating your proposition is a rarely a successful way to convince someone.

I find it incomprehensible why running a portfolio simulation with pen and paper would need an explanation.

Surely it's easier to just let the website/trading platform do all the calculations for you, rather than use pen and paper to calculate your P&L? And surely even if you wanted to do it by yourself you would use Excel -much easier and more reliable than pen and paper! Besides, doing a competition on an online trading platform means everyone's P&L is more transparent and visible to all participants, because if doing it 'pen and paper', as you suggest, people could just cheat and make up profits -who would know?
