    Hi

I came accross three people in this forum who had to write their own "Open References". And, I also find myelf in the same position.

When I asked my principal to give me my reference, she asked me to write it myself, saying that she will read and sign it. So, I would really appreciate it if any of you could send me your "Open Reference" for me to use as a guide to write my Reference.

    Thanx

    hi.
I have written the reference by myself as well. but mainly because in germany it's not very common to write references for students.
but to write your own reference is fantastic. you can mention anything you want and you won't miss an important detail.
If you want to read mine, just send me a personal message. but to warn you , my reference is a bit different from what you would expect, cause I am a bit older than you and had worked for 3 years.

You are lucky that you can write your own reference. The reference shouldn't be that similar to the personal statement though. Remember don't make things up. Also, you need to write a personal statement.
