Nope. Nothing here either. At least I've got a reading list for my programme to keep me entertained.

elloz everyone

i missed the 30th june deadline for applications and i was not allowed to apply after that until my firm conditional offer was changed to unconditional when they received my results...that was about a day ago.

i'm a little confused with regards to applying for the intercollegiate halls. for example, international hall has several types of rooms (eg single studio, single study, flat A etc, view the link - http://www.halls.london.ac.uk/student/international/fees.aspx)

so if i got into this hall, how would i know what type of room i've been assigned, and am i able to change it? i recall this being brought up much earlier in this massive thread, just can't find it now =S

nope, no offer yet here, either

Also Unconditional offer for Computer Science. Apparently as I live in the M25, I'm not going to find out If I've got a place AFTER I've started first term!!!

P.S. This applies to all students who live in the M25!

aaaaah i hope this doesnt happen to me. I wanted to live at my accomodation during freshers as this is where most friends/ socialising is done. I completed my app on time so fingers crossed maybe we'll get some accomodation on time as we both have unconditional offers

Yeh I hope I have some luck with accommodation!

Apparently they only changed their criteria this year! Last year they were guaranteeing all first year undergraduates a place in halls/apartment. It's a pitty they've changed it now!

agreed. does anyone know when we have to pay deposits by or if they are adding to our accommodation fees?

Shortly before the end of August, if last year is anything to go by. They'll send you a letter explaining the details.

I just wanted to ask... does anyone know if we're allowed to bring a person to stay in our room for like one or two nights or are they too strict on that?

Do universities take the rent money out of your account weekly, fortnightly, monthly or at the beginning/end of every term??

Ohhhhhhhh, so it's in a lump sum, around the same time that the student loan is paid into the account (as it's split into three payments).

Thanks

You international students are so lucky :p: :frown:!!! I wish I knew where I'm going to end up.

Will you be staying in halls over the Christmas and Easter breaks or will you be going back to your country for the few weeks?
