The ionic bit is a bit of a gimmick. They say it won't work so well unless you use the ion shampoos, conditioners and hair products in general.

they're basically there to "lock in" moisture, supposedly much more than any other kind of straighteners.

I don't have them, so personal reccommendation is a no-no ;_;

In that case I'll stick with my usualy hobo straightners.

I have seen JML ionic hair straighteners and they dont seem too expensive. If you have sky you can see a demo on the JML channel.

Has anyone got or tried theses types of straightners?

I usually use hair tools ceramic straightners but after 2 yrs the coating is starting to come off so feel like I should get some and I saw theses types.

Obviously dont want to spend the extra £20 if they make no difference. :biggrin:
I've heard of them... but I think it might just a fad. Ceramics are defo the best, so if yours is wearing out, to be on the safe side I'd most likely invest in another one of a similar kind.
