What LNAT score did succesful Glasgow University applicants have?

Hi,

I've got an LNAT in a couple of days (very late I know) and I'm a touch nervous over it as I really would like an offer from Glasgow. I know that an LNAT can't substitute for your grades but I am curious to see the kind of scores people who got into Glasgow for law got on their LNAT.

Thanks in advance,

I thought the LNAT deadline was January 20th? Oh well, I guess not.

I don't have my score yet, but would be very, VERY surprised if I managed anything over 12. I literally didn't finish the questions and guessed about half. My essay was very one-sided and only really argued one point. I also don't quite meet the entry requirements (I have AAABB, they want AAAAB), yet I have an unconditional offer. :s-smilie: I suppose my standard grade results must have helped me (8 1s), and I know my reference was good, but I conclude from my situation that the LNAT grade isn't extremely important to Glasgow.

So try not to worry about it too much. When did you apply?

On the 15th, my Guidance teacher kept demanding little changes and taking a week over them *sigh*.

Thanks for the news! Very good news to hear and congrats on the unconditional!

Yupp I feel that my LNAT went the same way; although I thought my essay was quite good, I could make no more than educated guesses at a lot of the questions, and I have an unconditional place too. Don't worry about it :]

The LNAT results are emailed to you on the 30th/31st January:smile:

That's only if you sat it before Jan. 20th, isn't it?

I got 22, but when we were having a conversation about it, out of the four of us, the other three all got 17. (I'm in my first year in law at Glasgow). I got my offer quite quickly, so i think a good LNAT helps, but i don't think they're overly bothered about it. Just try not to stress too much about it, nothing you can do anyway.

Update to my post, I just got my result, a score of 20, if that helps :]

I got 18 and I have an unconditional, so.

I, uh, haven't had my score back yet. It definitely should've been returned by now, right?
I sat it on the 20th, so it might take a bit longer - but Glasgow's gotten back to me with an unconditional, so I'm assuming it's been marked.

Your score is calculated and sent to the unis immediately, but if you sat the LNAT late on (either after the 10th of January or the 15th - there is some confusion) you don't get your results until June.

Don't know why that is - maybe they assume you're applying after the 15th deadline and they don't want you to have your score before applying etc?

I'm in 5th year at the moment and I got a conditional for Glasgow for 4As and a B. My LNAT score was 24. I'm quite surprised that I got the conditional, tbh since my predicted grades weren't looking too good at the time and since I'm applying from 5th year. I think the LNAT and my personal statement references, and work experience really helped though.
