Times, Guardian and I think the top 5 law schools in the UK currently are
(NOT in any particular order)

Cambridge
Oxford
London School of Economics
King's College London
University College London

Ucl Is Above Kings - Kings Is Not Top 5. Warwick Or Durham Is Higher. The Rest Is Correct Though

Thats just for a LLB/BA degree!! What about for LPC/BVC/GDL??? Surely BPP and College of Law should be in there somewhere...

I think it doesn't matter. The best Law-schools in the U.K. are Cambridge, Oxford, LSE, UCL, KCL, SOAS, Bristol, Durham, Nottingham, Warwick; London confers a logistical advantage, while a 2.1 from Oxbridge will guarantee consideration at the most elitist firms. York's Law department is nascent, but likely to be deemed on a par in short order.

There is no 'top five' in any meaningful sense.

For English law: I'd probably say Cambridge, Oxford, LSE, UCL and Durham. Warwick/Bristol are very close behind though... and then Nottingham/KCL/Manchester. To be honest, after Cambridge, Oxford, and perhaps LSE, the other 8-9 really are in the same league and tend to be grouped together.

I said 'not in any order'. I just listed top 5 without any ranking. (btw, this year, King's ranked above UCL on both Times and Guardian.). I put 'not in any order', because UCL's law had been better than KCL's in previous years, despite recent rankings.
And Durham might be better, if considering the past. But Warwick... no way!

Be honest. Have you just copied the names of first five Law universities from Times Good University Guide?

I think that's BS.

Cambridge

LSE
UCL
KCL/Durham/Bristol

King's is only higher in the Times because of Student Satisfaction and slightly higher entry standards...

I didn't copy though. That's what Guardian claimed to be top 5 as well. So, I was like, "Then they must be the top 5". But people! How many times do i have to say that there isn't any ranking/order in my list!!!

Completely agree, except I would swap KCL and UCL and put Oxford and Cambridge together. Other than that, this is pretty much the most common combination.

Why do you want to know, OP?

Maybe I should have said,
According to Times and Guardian this year, the top 5 for law are
Oxbridge
LSE
KCL
UCL
(this time, in the newspapers' order/ranking)

People's thoughts.

It doesn't really matter whether your university is 3, 5 or 9 in terms of employability. You do know that, right?

Reply 17

Im not being so serious. I was just wondering what the top 5 law schools according to british people, whether they agree with the tables this year or not.

For Law? Very much so.

Reply 19

you know that the order of top 10 doesnt matter
when you want to get a job they do actually speak to you about how you are suited to the role

they dont just look at your cv and see UCL "oh look lets hire them"
