Hmm. Do most people journey to Manchester and Leeds for a good night out then, I take it?

Im in my first year and i have to say its quite small compared to where im from but you can have a good night out, depends what you into. However leeds and manc arent that far away to get a bit of variety.
in your first year you'll love it cos its cheap and theres enough places if theres a big bunch of you you'll just have a right laugh anyway! but cos its small youll get a bit bored of it.

i was speaking to the tour person other day and it sounds as if hudds has same big clubs as bradford, which does't sound too good :P Tokyo though is a laugh, if your into alternative they have an 'indie' floor, which is okay if you don't mind a bit of sing-along indie rock :\
Cockpit though is ot too far away, ad theres tonnes of other stuff in leeds for everything!

Cool. I reckon it sounds alright, but probably venture to Leeds and Manchester for the odd night.

that would be completely epic! Rage last year, radiohead this!? brilliant!

Just found that Bob Dylan is playing this April too, another life dream to be fulfilled (although i know he'll probably be dire, I HAVE to see him before he dies)

hey i just got an offer from huddersfield and will hopefully be starting in september. I live in spain ( near benidorm) and am used to pretty good nightlife and have recently heard that huddersfield is completely **** 4 a gd nite out. Do most people go up to leeds and manchester ? But hows transport up there 4 nights out ?? isnt it a pain to have to travel all the time to get a gd nite ??

I think that's a bit of an exaggeration of the nightlife. It looks good to me; when I visited there were alot of clubs and bars, but it souldnt be that bad to travel to Leeds and Manchester.

by train, 20 mins to leeds, 30 to manchester. simples. huddersfield's good if you're not looking for a big night out, big nights are where leeds and mancs triumph.
