Just tried one of those bmi tester thingys (had one lying around, don't ask...) And apparently I'm 14.6% body fat, need around 1700kcal a day and have a bmi of 21.4. I have no clue what that means but I'm not bothered. It worrys me that so many people compare and calculate their calorie intake each day

No real point to this thread, just thought i'd share

No idea, it's one of those 'body fat monitor' things you get from lloyds, you put in you height, weight, age, gender and squeeze the handles of the thingy and it tells you stuff.

Think I'm about 27-28 now.
And there's no way that 1700 calories should be what you need in a day...

I know, but it's just a bit of fun, I'm not too keen to dip myself in a tub of water to find out how fat I actually am. At 62kg I doubt I'm that fat anyway.

One pretty big meal, yes. I think I could survive on 1700.

Of course, I could be pedantic and point out that although most people refer to them as calories, most nutritional information is provided in terms of kcalories, and so our actual 'calorie' intake is increased by order 3.
