    A ball is projected from a position distance 4m horizoantally and 1m vertically from the basket, with speed vms-1 at an angle of theta to the horizontal. The ball falls into the basket

    Show that taking g=9,.8 v and theta must satisfy this equation

    1=4tan0-(78.4/v^2)(sec^2)

    Ive got all of it apart from the sec^2 bit which i dont know where it comes from many thanks.

    you should get 1/cos^2theta) somewhere and just flip it to get sec^2 theta
