Can humans hear 9th and 10th octaves or C notes? watch

    Im not a musical expert but i heard a piano only goes up to a C8 becuase the notes after cant be heard by the human ear but only by animals. Something about the octaves or high frequency it will produce i was told.

    Humans can hear up to around 20000 Hz - The highest note on the piano is around 4000 Hz - You can definitely hear many higher notes than C8

    Very high and very low notes tend to lose their definition but you can definitely hear them and they can be very effective when combined with notes in the more usual register. Electronic instruments often go beyond the range of the piano which is limited more by reach than anything else. As you get older (believe me ) you lose the extreme frequencies of your hearing by a remarkable degree. Get a young piano tuner!
