um I was told that when using pencil or graphite or lead ..etc..., it might be harmful when you smudge a lot.
can anyone tell me if it is harmful to smudge art work with your hands a lot?
And if so then what do you think I should do about it because without smudging, my art work wont be its best?
thank you in advance for reading this and replying.

i don't know about during but after you've finished, spray on a bit of hairspray. then use tracing paper inbetween each one if it's in a sketch book...
