I have applied to do fashion this september, but I have never done the subject before and have no experience. I just really like the subject and know I would enjoy the content of the courses. Will this matter?

Fashion, as she said!

I don't know, I'd say it was something you need at least a bit of experience in... What exactly do you do? I know a lot of people seem to go for an art foundation year before doing anything arty?

Are you doing BTEC or one A-Level? Have you looked at the entry requirements of unis you might want to go to?

I don't think it matters that you haven't done it before.
I'm doing my A levels at the moment but am not, obviously, doing a Journalism A level (which is the course I am applying for)
I would imagine that most people who are going to do the Fashion course will have it mainly as a hobby, and will learn as they do the course.

A lot of people I know did an art foundation and specialised in fashion/textiles to get their portfolio up to scratch.

It depends on the university's some will include a foundation year, some will require an arts subject, however, some may consider you despite no experience. However be prepared in case you need to produce a portfolio, and you may be expected to turn up to an interview.
