I left college last week and this was due to two things:

    1) I really didn't enjoy it there and felt I had made a BIG mistake when choosing my A level subjects
    2) I have drepression and want to sort my head out so I can achieve the grades the I know I can. I HAVE NOT GIVEN UP I JUST WANT TO ACHIEVE MY FULL POTENTIAL WHICH I DONT FEEL I CAN DO IN MY CURRENT STATE OR AT THAT COLLEGE.

My question is.... what can i do from now until september when I plan to restart my a levels?
I already do volunteering and I am looking for a job. But does anyone know of any sort of training or courses that start around this time of year?

Also, have any of you left college with intensions of starting again? How did you find it?
The last thing I want to be doing is sitting at home all day doing nothing!

    Thanks

I think a lot of colleges offer part time or short courses starting in January, so if you contacted some now about it I'm sure you wouldn't be too far behind. Sounds like you're doing the right thing in taking a break, I'm taking a gap year after A Levels before University for similar reasons :]

I agree, get some hobbies, get a job. You might as well head out and earn while your off. Start next year with some cash in your pocket. Don't get too used to it though. My brother gave up Uni, got a job earning £25k and never went back. Good luck...
