    Hey,
I was just wondering how the wonderful people from The Student Room would describe the feeling of being in love?
I'm in love with my boyfriend and find it almost indescribable hence the question!
No point to it just curious really!

For everyone it`s different. For me it was a wanting to hold on and savor every moment with the person. Love is a feeling of happiness, and caring towards someone... you know what there`s alot more but i can`t really do it justice so i won`t.

It's one of the hardest things. The slightest thing said wrong can get you down. But then...it's that feeling of total security and like you have to see them, or hear them or hear of them or even just talk to them and like every moment spent with that person should never end.

Despite all the upset and stress it causes when trying to be independent, being in love is amazing. And it's even better when that person loves you too and you become totally dependent of one another

Yeaa I love my boyfriend xxx

exactly, you hit the nail right on the head. I find I'm quite overly sensitive to him and the smallest of things I take to heart- but only because I care about him so much and because of that his opinion means so much. Yet at the same I feel amazed at how brilliant he is and feel completely loved. He's my rock.

It's amazing. Even though it hurts so much right now, because he won't even talk to me or see me or acknowledge my existence (a bad break-up due to distance), I'm still glad for every day that I still love him. I guess that might be a bit weird. I don't think I've ever loved anyone quite so much. The thought that he is alive, that he's out there, whether he lets me in his life or not, makes me happy in a way I don't think I can describe.

Ugh. Love is horrible, though, when you know that it's requited but you can't be together. Horrible and wonderful.

It's something for which I do not have the words to describe fully. You feel complete; like a piece of you was missing but you didn't realise it was until you found the missing piece.

Meh, for girls it's the best thing ever, but we men generally don't like anything that could conceivably interrupt whatever sport happens to be on television. :P

I personally resent it a great deal.

Have you ever eaten an entire cheesy stuffed crust pepperoni pizza?

Because THAT, my friend, is the best feeling a man can ever feel. Love doesn't even come near it.

Being in love is amazing (granted it can be the worst thing that's ever happened to you if it crumbles, but for the timebeing it's amazing!).

To me it's when they become your number one priority, the thought of life without them is unbearable, when it's not enough just to feel it - you want to scream to the world and let everyone know how you feel. I'm not sure what happened the moment i knew i was in love, but it's the most (hahah i typo'd 'moist') amazing feeling in the world - and to know that they feel the same way is incredible.

I love the quote - "love is giving someone the power to destroy you, and trusting they won't".
