    Hello everyone.

Firstly, I'd like to thank you for taking the time to read this and for any help.

Ok, so basically I applied for German to a number of universities a couple of weeks ago. I've been invited to an interview at UCL in February.

This is good as UCL was what i was aiming for. However, when I applied I (stupidly) assumed that you choose your language combination when you get your offer from UCL. I was hoping to combine my German with Spanish, and this option didn't show when i was applying with UCAS (now i know it's because i didn't click the "show all German courses" button).

So basically i'm a bit confuzzled, the German with Spanish combo is another course code but requires the same grades (B in a modern language).

My question is whether I should indicate to them now ahead of my interview that I'd like to do Spanish too (even though my PS is all about german oops) or wait and see if i get an offer and then ask them, because it will make me seem like less of a fool? Is there even a chance of me being able to do it if i haven't selected it? (i'm hoping maybe they wont fill up the spanish class).

    Once again, thanks.

Choice of course, year or point of entry

If you are happy with your choice of university or college but you want to change your course, defer your application for a year or change the point of entry, you should write to the college or university direct, not to us. If the university or college agrees, they will tell us about the change. If we have already sent you an offer for your original choice, we will change it and the new offer will be displayed on Track.
I'd suggest contacting them before the interview

You'll need to let UCL know

Ask them now, because they will probably want to interview you for both languages. If you wait until you've got an offer, then you'd only have to go through this hassle before finding out if they'll accept you for the other course

well, I think I made a kind of similar mistake, omg;/
Two of the courses I applied for were modern languages. I didn't indicate on my application what languages I want to study coz I didn't find any space for writing it there ( stupid me??) . I wrote about the languages I'd like to study in my ps.

Do u think it will be ok?
Wish you luck with your German and Spanish!!!

Hey you've at least indicated where your interests are in your PS so i think an admissions tutor would probably pick up on that. I on the other hand have no mention of the second language at all.

    I think you'll be fine

I forgot to indicate what languages I wanted to study on one of my choices, all I did was e-mail the uni about it and it got sorted out.
