I met a guy at a dance class the other week and he took my email to send me a link for another class. In the second email he asked me for coffee and said if nothing else, to make a good friend. So my question, how do i drop in to an email that i have a boyfriend without making it completely obvious? Like I don't want to say hey, i have a boyfriend, but would like to go out for coffee as friends. :p: Don't know what to write now, so any decent advice would be greatly appreciated.

Just drop it in casually, "oh my boyfriends mum lives there" or something to that effect

Just say that. Honestly, if you have a boyfriend, he needs to know it so he doesn't embarrass himself. There's no real way to sugar-coat it.

Write something like 'sure, *day would be good, I have this thing with my boyfriend first but maybe we could meet up for coffee afterwards'.
Won't your bf mind that you're meeting up with other guys like that though?
Thats a good idea. I'm being honest with my boyfriend, showed him the email. I wont reply for a few days and see him at class instead.

"You're lucky myboyfriend doesn't mind me meeting up with other guys! Coffee sounds great."

Or you could just, y'know say that you felt you should let him know you're seeing someone before you agree - but if he's still up for it coffee would be great?

Saying stuff like that makes you sound like a presumptuous **** though

Tell the truth: say you think he's cute or whatever but you have a boyfriend who you love and you would be interested in meeting up for a coffee, but only as friends. If he's a decent guy he'll still go for coffee. However he may have just wanted to see you for coffee anyway as friends.

You could say yes and add him to facebook and lethim see your relationship status. That always works brilliantly.
