I have made my firm and insurance choice (in sig)
do i receive information in the post from the universities? or a letter saying anything?
thanks in advance
That mainly depends on the university. Some universities send you a letter acknowledging your choice whereas some barely say anything at all. You'll probably receive information on applying for accommodation if nothing else.
Ensure that what ever they do send you, you take note of because things such as accommodation application deadlines and proceedures are really important and can be easily missed. Your insurance may require you to apply for accommodation now along with all of the firm applicants, or it may want you to wait until after results day. They will send you information. If you don't get any information from either of them, assume you should do nothing until later on in the application cycle as most people won't have made their decisions yet. Some universities will send you lots of things and others won't send you anything at all bar a quick email. Which leads me to say ensure your email address is correct with ucas and you will be able to access it until AFTER results day in august right up until you actually go to university. I had mine down as my college email (as I thought it was more academic than @hotmail.com!) and then come July I was deleted from the systems meaning Edinburgh had no way of contacting me about accommodation as it was via email. I didn't realise until after results day which led to problems with my room allocation.
I got a letter from UCAS with a "money manual for students" when I decided my firm and insurance
