Hi, Ok so iv'e done something pretty dumb and i need help.
Over christmas I had to move house and I ended up at a college friends house. I took over one of the previous tennats contracts, so i gave him the deposit money and then that was sorted.
Now with the new deposit sceme's in plaace I could find myself losing the money, but the guy isn't a **** and he's willing to sign a contract stating that iv'e given him money for his deposit and that i'm legaly allowed to take what he gave to the estate agents.

My question is... what do I write in the contract??

Any help would be greatly recieved!

Why would you lose the money?

As long as you've signed a new tenancy agreement with the landlord and the other guy isn't on it anymore, it'll be you who gets the deposit back at the end of the year.
