Im working on a project based on The Rite of Spring, and I need a violinists/violists opinion on this.

I was going to say that " the markings of arco non divis and Sempre staccato contribute to the percussive timbre already created by dissonance.

I know on cello that when notes are to be played non divisi, the tone is not as smooth as if it was divisi. Does this hold true on violin/viola?
