It's like getting a good grade in any exam right?
Just work hard, and know and understand all the course material.

The article is really depressing. Basically it's saying if I work non-stop for the next 2 and a half years it still won't be enough :sigh:

As well as work hard, ask your lecturers for improvements on an assessed element of the course and show an interest in the subject. Listen to their advice and amend the work where necessary.
