How many solutions does the equation 7 have?

What does the graph of y = sinh(x) look like? And then y = -3 sinh(x)?

Substitute for sinh x so that you get 3{e^x - e^-x}/2 = -7.Now multiply everything by e^x so that you get a quadratic in e^x. Then solve by quadratic formula. That way you answer both questions in one go.
