flirting and touching

if your friends with a member of the opposite sex and you like them, do you touch him or her for example give a pat on the shoulder and just touch him or her whenever the oppurtunity presents it-self. Does this mean your being friendly or can it mean something else, for instance my co-worker was on holiday for three weeks and after he came back to work, a female friend of his who i happen to like just kept patting him on the shoulder and touched his arm whenever she could. Is she actually interested in him ? Coundn't say I was a bit jealous. Maybe i'm reading too much into it and i'm jumping to conclusions about them

I do that a lot with people I like. I think its one of the recognised signs of liking somebody.
Patting on the shoulder seems a bit patronising to be honest. But anything short of a kiss is allowable in my opinion. Except for really long hugs, which involve back stroking and the like.

i dunno if i'm just different, but when i like somebody, i stay well away from them. I am not a confident person when it comes to the opposite sex, so i prefer to just not be seen by anybody i like. Therefore, patting, touching, or giving eye-contact to anybody i like is definitely out of the question
do not pat him on the shoulder... touch him pretty much anywhere but do not pat him on the shoulder, his mates pat him on the shoulder, its a good way to get yo self put into the 'friend' category.

My ex and her mate did it to each other while I was still in love with her. :frown:

He was groping her and playing with her body, and I only found out the other day that she gave him a blow job while I was in love with her. :frown:

He even fingered her arse for a dare, but she keeps telling me they're just mates.

I've just gotta move on now, but it's really hard. :frown:

Yeh girls are bitchs, and she sounds like a slut

Your better off without her, and you will find somebody nice, everybody does

She's never had full sex AFAIK but she has given hand jobs and blow jobs.

I probably am better off without her, but I haven't fully got over her yet. I even dreamt about her last night, but hopefully soon i'll be a happier person.

Be careful though because some people (myself included) are not 'touchy feely' at all and don't like being touched like when just talking to someone or whatever....

i know if im sitting by a guy i like i will touch their leg "accidentally" or something ... guys tend to put their hand on a girls leg and talk to her more than anyone else if they like her, and theyll make a special effort to talk to the girl they like ... (ive noticed anyway)

I know. Tell me about it. I wish i'd never met her. After everything i've helped her through and done for her, she treats me like ****. I helped her when she was upset about her bro having a miscarriage, I tried to help her when she got sexually abused in October/November time, and i've helped her in so many other ways.

God I hate life sometimes. :frown:

i don't know. i guess it's not really, I don't really know what I mean but it's kinda just patronising. Sorry, I didn't explain anything, did I?

Does anyone else see where I'm coming from? (Patting someone; is it patronising?)
