NO. Water is the LAST thing you want to do - I know it sounds silly but wash your face in milk or yoghurt (dabbed on with cotton wool). It WILL work.
Ouch! :redface:

Yes - having visited India! That's one of the reasons their favourite drink is lassi (a yoghurt drink... yumm!) as it takes the sting out of chilli foods

its fine now, thanks everyone

i didnt really go for the yogurht approach as i couldnt find any and it is a bit unpractical. I tried to breathe water up the nose but thats impossible. I just wettered a tissue and used that, that worked :smile:

Next timeyou burn the inside of your mouth with chilli, try drinking milk, keeping it in the mouth and swilling it around before swallowing. Do this several times and the sting will have gone - afaik it is true that dairy products neutralise the capsaicin (?) in chillies.

So this one time, my friend's boyfriend was handling chillis at work.

He didn't wash his hands...came home, they got to bed, got busy...

Guess what part of her anatomy burned ;_;

:eek:
Man, I bite into fresh green chillies as part of my main meal.
