sti's can not only pass throu all fluids, but there dosnt have to be fluid exchange as such, ie one fluid dosn't have to get into the others body, it can be done across the skin, which is why people were more likely to get aids from anal, because there are more blood vessels in the anus and the skin inside is thinner than the vagina.

The skin is thinner which makes it more susceptible to tearing. I'm not aware of many if any STI's that can pass directly through in-tact skin.
