I used Letts and did OK. I didn't use my own notes at all. Got mostly A's and A*'s.

CGP is good for summaries... but they have less detail...

the key to GCSE is to do LOT OF PAST PAPERS... and see where you tend to get wrong... then study the area you tend to go wrong...

If you go to the AQA site, http://aqa.org.uk, you can download specifications, which are useful to use, and I know for sure, the science one gives you all you need to know. They also provide past papers for free.

I like CPG books, I have some Letts, and some BBC ones, and I don't find those as useful.

CGP complete revision - the big purple and black ones. Though you'll to bear the awful jokes. I find using lots of different sources helps me. So some of my own revision guides, some from school library, some from public library, notes, websites etc
The best thing to do are past papers, as well as practicing timing, you can see how they are set out and get used to their style..I found that I did better in the subjects I did past papers in than the ones I didn't. The CGP books are quite goos, especially if you get the revision guide, question booklet and answer booklets.
oooh i had some really good ones, i think they were collins?
they came in different formats, e.g. short revision notes, or in detail and some of them were called "do brilliantly in..." (i think)
they were really good anyway

CGP revision guides were really good for GCSE. Letts revision are great for AS/A2
CGP for Maths Letts for everything else
I'd say CGP and LETTS.

They pretty much cover everything and the CGP ones can be specific to your syllabus such as I had a specific one for AQA double award science.

Both are great.
