My GCSE biology teacher said that your urine could go back up the tubes from your bladder to your kidneys if you held it for too long.

And also, going to the toilet acts as a "flushing mechanism" to get rid of any bacteria that could be lurking

it causes impotence too... not that you have to worry about that lol
