Doctors

I need to make a doctors appointment at the health centre but was wondering which of the doctors are the most helpful and nicest? I've got a bit of a doctor phobia as my surgery back home is a nightmare; badly organised, really patronising and they just do not care about their patients, seems as though they just want to get rid of you as quickly as possible! Thanks!

I've seen three of them so far, Barbara Jackson and Melyvn Osborne were both really nice I remember, got what I wanted sorted out right away and were very helpful. I liked Hassan Soltani less, I didnt feel very listened to with him, he kind of fired questions at me rather than letting me talk. Don't think he was a bad doctor by any means I just preferred the other two.
Hi there. I know the feeling - I've recently had to have about 7 injections (I haven't had one since 1991) as I'm going to Sri Lanka. I've had a lovely nurse whose helped me through my insane phobia of needles. I've had Maggie Jubb for travel stuff but my main doctor was Jennifer King. She's really nice. When you phone up (0114 221111 - I think) say that you're scared about coming. They prefer to know in advance so the nurse/doctor can be less formal.
oh yeah maggie is lovely, all the nurses ive met there have been really good.
Dr Portlock is really nice, and very supportive too. Definately would reccomend going to see her as shes a good listener etc.
Ok so I went to see Alison James who was nice but didn't really take me seriously. Hmm.

In that case when you go back I'd seriously recommend Kim Portlock, I've been to see her three times or more now and shes always very efficient and friendly.
Ok, Portlock  thank you

Don't go to Dr Hudsen or Dr Jacoobviz as they are good at telling when you are trying to get a special circumstance form. I went toDr H after I'd been out clubbing the night before an exam and he knew straight away. I threatened to sue the university because I pay my fees and the doctors should do what we need as we pay fees and they work for us!!! I was tired and they should provide me evidence I was no well. He did not take my hangover seriously and i was very angrery about this!!!!!!!! How dare they take our tution fees for this rubbish!!!When I saw him before about my mental health he was gud though. Dr Prosser is guy too. She is really nice. I like nurse Emma as well. The reception s is very kind, when you can get thru on the fone. She is lovely, but you have to wait a long time like 15 rings.
