Do guys really like 'curvy' girls or do they just say they do?

I'm a size 16. I'm quite tall and I do have a sort of figure but I've got my far share of podge on my hips, belly, thighs etc. I feel so gross because I know that guys say they like curvy girls, but as I've never had any interest they must be just saying that, really I bet they like skinny size 8's.

Its all down to personal opinion, you can't really generalise to what every guy would like
Yes, girls who are too thin just look boyish and it's really unsexy,

Yea we love them
People often mix up "curvy" and "fat" and they're 2 different things

Size 8s can be curvy. Curvy is when you have boobs, a smaller waist, and bigger hips. Just because someone is a size 18 or whatever, they might not be curvy cause they have big waists, therefore they don't have that "hourglass" shape.

Yeah but would you date a size 16 girl?

Curvey =/= Fat slob.

maybe its your face thats the problem?
who the hell looks at body before face? an idiot thats who.
Jaysus...All down to personal preference. Some do, some don't. Some like slim, some like curvy, and some (like one of my 1st year flatmates) go girls that are fat.

I'd agree entirely on the curvy does not = fat thing. There is a huge huge difference between curvy, and fat.

I'm a size 14/16 and I'd describe myself as curvy. This is because I've got more than enough boobs, a fair old whack of hips (years of horseriding for you right there) and a pretty small waist. I think last time I did some measurements it was 40-28-38 or something similar to that. A pretty marked difference.

Yes, of course people who are size 16 have realtionships. Just LOOK around you! It's not a "Oh, 14+... NO SEX FOR YOU" thing at all.

Don't generalise. Different people like different things. One person's morbidly obese is another's too skinny! One person's favourite thing in the world ever will totally repulse someone else.

i heard somewhere that beyonce was size 16 (cant vouch for that but i would go out with her)

I heard she was a size 12 UK size, size 8 US size....

I'd rather go out with a size 16 girl than size 8.

Well so far it appears that way! At least near me anyway.

This is so true.
People who think fat and curvy mean the same thing are totally ridiculous. It's actually very annoying because my best friend has a perfect hourglass shape and when someone mentions 'curvy' she associates it with being fat. I hate when she starts whining about it.

There are different types of guys who like different body shapes. Some will be attracted to a skinny girl, others to a more chunky one. No one person is exactly the same as another and therefore they'll have different tastes.
Some guys do, some guys don't, simple as that. I personally am not attracted to most size 16 girls but it is obvious from previous posts that some guys are.
much prefered to someone too thin

That's a bit harsh! Sometimes girls that don't have a classically attractive face can have a very sexy body. In the end everybody has different preferences anyway.
"Curvy" is used in two types of circumstances.

1. Used to describe a naturally curvaceous woman who has larger dress sizes but does not have excess baggage (e.g. belly tyres, jello arms or disproportionate ass).

2. Used as a euphemism for "fat".
