I am not planning to buy that many, especially since the majority of the subjects will have the free AQA ones. I'll probably spend more on revision guides.

Fair enough. I'm assuming that not all your subjects are AQA, but you could buy other exam boards past papers for other subjects not following AQA though.

I didn't know that WH Smith's sell past papers.

How much do they usually costs? If they are cheaper than the exam board, I will buy them there. :p:

They do sell exam practice papers, but they're not official past exam papers.

Ok then. :p: I rather have the exam papers from the exam board instead though.

Yes, I could do. I'll see whether the school gives us any past papers too.

I'm sure they would, but they will be photocopied ones though, and not the real A4 size ones. In addition, they might only give you the latest one for the class though. If you want some past papers from 2004 and before, you could buy it from the exam board or ask the teacher to photocopy it for you.

Ok, I will see how much they cost. I hope not too expensive!

They are not that expensive as they are less than 1 quid per paper.

I think buying mark schemes will be a good idea, so you can check your answers.

Yes, I would do. I don't know whether I'd pay £3 for P+P though.

Ok, I'll check out all the prices. Can I ask what a UKL is?

Ok, the prices is the same for all papers by the way.

UKL stands for UK Learning. It's the former name for 'The Student Room'.

Dear NickiM,

Sounds like you have a solid plan for GCSE Success. Im doing my GCSE's this year but all my exams are EDEXCEL and AQA for english! English is probably my weakest subject and probably Maths and Science being my strongest. Read some posts by me in the GCSE section about 6/7 A* at GCSE - Looks like your heading for 10/11 A*!!! I hope you all the best for 2005 GCSE!!!!

Well, 10 A*s would be amazing, but in some subjects it'll be had to match/beat my mock score (e.g 98% for Eng Lit!). I hope you get the grades you want too.

Trev - are the papers the same price for each exam board? I need to get some higher Graphics papers, as we only did foundation for the mock, but I've been entered for higher.

Each exam board charge different prices. Within each exam board, the past papers are the same price.

You could also buy foundation and higher tier past papers.

I am going to make a big plan for GCSE and find out the papers I'll need - like Maths!

If you follow AQA for maths, I gave you the link already. No need to buy them. :p: In addition, I gave you the site for past papers and ordering them too.

Yes, but there only a few to download on the AQA site, and we may get them as practices in tests.
