Revision Technique (Recording voice notes on mp3 player)

Am wondering if anyone has attempted to use this method in their revision routine, and how effective it has been. I am thinking of using it, but obviously not eliminating my other main revision methods, making notes/read notes etc. I just think i could record these notes on my mp3, orally, then for example when am on the bus going home or when am sleeping, i can re-listen to them and somehow pump this info into my mind forcefully. What do you guys think?

I used that method for my speaking exam (GCSE german) so I could learn handy phrases etc. It worked a treat as in the exam I didn't pause once.
It really depends on the person. Personally, I have found that it does only work well with languages. What subject do you want to record notes for?

Give it a try though, you never know, it may work wonders for you!

If you learn better from listening (like I do) it works very well. Eg, if you find yourself memorising songs v quickly, it is for you.

I thinking recording voice notes is a good idea. Do what suits you to revise. In my opinion, no matter what revision technique I use, I always find that main revision methods (i.e. read/make notes, read textbooks, do past papers, etc..) is the best.

I'm in the process of recording my biology revision book onto minidisc, so when I'm standing at the station waiting an hour for the only train that isn't cancelled, i can revise and not waste time
