Should I have done that?

so there's this guy at work..weve exchanged smiles a few times in and out of work (we often bump into eachother in town) never realy had the chance to have a proper conversation though.
In a spare of the moment thing I added him on facebook, now i regret it. Will he think i'm strange adding him when we have never spoken :s-smilie:

I'm now thinking it will be awkward when i next see him ..or am i just being stupid?
I want to get to know him more but never seem to be in the right situation to talk to him..should i make more of an effort or leave it and see if anything happens?
any help would be good =]

Talk to him on facebook, then it won't be as weird when you see him at work.

If you didn't have feelings for him you wouldnt have been worrying about if you'd added him so just see how it goes.
Half the people who add me on facebook I barely know.

yeah just say something to him via facebook, eg. 'hey, how are things? enjoy your trip into town earlier on?'

Adding a person onto facebook who you've never really talked to and then posting on their wall is a dead give away that you like them.

just talk to him no point wasting time

I really don't think just adding someone you don't know that well makes them think that you fancy that person- people get added on facebook when you've only met them once, and they are really a friend of a friend and so on. Also it sounds like you've seen each other in passing so he's definately an acquaintance, it's not like he's a complete stranger or anything. You never know, it might well lead to a conversation- he might come up to you and be like 'hey, I got your friend request' etc- and the fact he can now see your profile might lead him to see you have things in common etc.

But yeah, if you have feelings for this guy I don't think he'll guess just coz you added him on facebook. Most ppl wouldn't find it weird, and even if he did, he'd forget about it in five minutes.
