Think I'm starting to regret my accommodation choices. BUGGER. I want to reorder it :frown: arghhhh

If you really want to change them, according to the website - "Once the form has been submitted you will not be able to change your accommodation preferences online. If you have difficulty submitting the form or wish to amend your accommodation preferences please email: [email protected]"

I know someone said this earlier, but it'd be a great help if you could distinguish between an economy ensuite and standard ensuite. There's £15 a week price difference, so is there a major difference? I can't decide between Richmond Terrace, Winkworth House and Woodland Court. Any help would be great!

Economy en suite is smaller, I presume?

Ooooh, ty! Don't know why I didn't look for that in the first place.
Well, typically of me I'm still 'ugh I don't know' about reordering. Meh, I'll have another think when I actually get home from work. :frown:
xD

Feels good to have the option there, now it's there... Hm should I change? ^^'

I emailed the accommodation office with this query and their reply was:
'There are only 2 economy rooms and they are very small and in the basement.'
So standard en suite it is for me.

Yeah I realise that, but wanted to know if anyone knew if it was a large difference in size, or whether it was the quality of the room.

Thank you! Definitely not economy ensuite then - no wonder the price difference!

I just went for Goldney 1st University 2nd en-suite. I know there is no chance of getting an en-suite at Goldney (and I don't want one, it's too expensive - I adjusted my maximum cost suitably), but I wouldn't say no to an en-suite at Uni Hall (even though the chances of getting one are probably barely any better).

*fingers crossed for Goldney*

Hi. I'm about to apply to richmond with winkworth as my 2nd choice but don't know what price to say i'm prepared to pay. I would be quite happy with a normal single ensuite which is less than 4000 but a large single ensuite is only about 100 more so would be happy with that too. I don't really want to spend the whole 4408 on premium but the options are upto £4000 or upto £4500 and I don't know which to click cos don't really want to end up in economy either. Also don't want to narrow my chances of getting into richmond if most of the rooms are over £4000 but i don't know if they are. Does anyone know how many economy/single/large/premium rooms there are in richmond?
Rhys.
What do people make of Hillside/Woodside as a second choice? It looks nice. and I'm a pretty quiet guy, but is 29 people and over the suspension bridge too quiet?

tis probably not quiet at all.....its essentially a big group house, less structured. probs likely to get very close to lots of people there.

Im worried i didnt tick enough boxes to seem cool.

I put richmond terrace and winkworth house, bit worried as both seem to be popular this year.

sorry im spamming didnt read the thread thoroughly before i replied...

Serena said earlier that there's only two economy rooms....read up, I would imagine that you can email the accommodation office and query it. They should get back to you pretty soon - I queried a few things today and they seem to be operating with great efficiency.

I went for Goldney first and Manor Hall second. Bit risky, but hopefully I won't end up in a house on my own in Bath next door to a crackden.
I think I'm going for Hawthorns first, Hillside/Woodside second.

Goldney! Goldney! Goldney!

Goldney firm for me, not sure about the insurance.
Guyyyyyyyyys stop putting Goldney down...

It's only hindering my chances :frown:

booooo!
Why does everyone love Goldney? I applied there and you're all hindering my chances. I dont want to go to my second choice :frown:
Stop complaining. You realised it was really competitive when you applied, so it is pretty obvious lots of TSR students will be applying there.

You took the chance, so stop blaming everyone for ruining your chances

I don't mean that in a harsh way.. I am just saying it is pretty likely that Goldney will not be any less competitive than last year (it may even be more so, who knows).

Good luck though, I didn't have the guts to risk it
