Woodside's closer to some very good pubs, though the Hawthorns is probably nearer the more studendy pubs (the Hope and Anchor is one i'd definitely recommend)

I'm interested in 'The Old Duke'? Sounds excellent

That part of the city is much closer to the Hawthorns, it's a five minute walk when I walk quickly - probably ten if you're walking with people at a normal speed.

It's another 20 minutes to Hillside :s-smilie:

Haha I also said I was just speculating :P

Snivellus is probs the best to ask.

G'luck
Finally got round to sending mine off, put Hiatt Baker for first choice and Badock for second. I know HB is all basin or en-suite, but for other halls that have is it randomly chosen who gets a room with basin and who gets one without?

Are there any halls that have a reputation for lots of drama and music opportunities?
Really want to get involved in that as much as possible and have heard halls put on productions as well as societies.

Sorry if this has come up loads already.
Thanks!!

I would say Wills (Wills Hall Amateur Theatrical Society and musical performances in the chapel) for certain and I've heard CHH is. Not sure about the other halls.

No I'm doing History, so thats why i wanted to make sure I was somewhere that had lots of theatre going on. Thanks for your advice, I'm going catered so looks like Wills might be the best plan...

Why does no-one ever mention Chruchill...??
I went to Badock. Absolutely Loved it. There was a really hot tutor there this year (unit 1!) Let's hope he's around next year!

May just be there's no one on TSR that has much experience of Churchill. Rumour is it's Rah and has a bit of a rubbish bar though.
The fact that Churchill has single sex floors put me off right away.

I still havn't made my mind up :frown:

Still debating between Goldney and Wills for first choice (and whether I want catered or self) but it's the second choice that's proving difficult for both - may just stick down something like HB or Badock as I can't really see another self catering one I really like......after Manor wasn't really my thing. But I still would much prefer to be around Clifton.

Goldney would be my first choice EASILY if I knew I was going to get in. Argh. This is so annoying!
