Bristol University Accommodation Info (please post all questions here!)

I'm in, just waiting on Goldney. I want to be in Goldney sooo badly. It looks great.

Insert all the bad, bad words TSR won't let me say - didn't get into Goldney! Got my offer for University Hall just now. Am not pleased. Plus they want me to get a signature to them by the 22nd, which isn't going to happen as I don't get back til the 23rd, so hopefully they will accept that explanation in the email I just sent them. But I wanted Goldney! Or, you know, there were several others that I liked, but I didn't want to apply to as second choice because they were oversubscribed as well...and University wasn't...obviously. Bah.

Well at least you guys have heard something, I've not heard from either of mine..eek

You are in exactly the same situation as I am. Didn't get in to Goldney, got Uni Hall! I reckon we may have made a mistake putting it second as they saw an opportunity to get us in the undersubscribed hall and took it. Oh well, we will have a great time anyway and for about £1000 less

Woo, same situation! I realised that too, this morning. Didn't really think about that possibility too much beforehand!

But yes, I'm looking at the pros:
1) As you say, cheeeeaper. Which is immense!
2) A 35 odd minute walk in to the centre - excellent free exercise.
3) It's Stoke Bishop, which is obviously the studenty place to be.
4) As it's cheaper, it's less likely to be sloane central.

So I'm completely chuffed now! Though I could do with it being a bit prettier...

are all you lot foreigners...is that why you have your accommodation offers already?

Hmm, i havent heard anything from my accommodation choices yet.

Those of you who have, did you have to reply to the offer? Or do anything else? Because im going away for two weeks early tomorrow morning and i might not have internet access for all that time
