I think it's the curl placed on top of the head in an effort to make the balding less obvious that really holds his charm

oi...it's a tried and tested method.
I have a receding hairline and curly hair. It's a nightmare...I blame my father.

Haha, oh, well, yes, on one hand I can derive quantum physics equations, on the other I can't find an appropriate pen for the task of writing on scary paper. I did try a load but I guess none of them were specifically correct. Blurgh!

To be honest, with or without a biro, I think it's mercy upon the accommodation office that I supply a typed version regardless. My handwriting is pretty scruffy so a form with small boxes will not be fun for them or me.

Don't feel too bad about your hair. I have two distinct possibilities if you take my family's histories into account. Either I will be completely bald by 25, or I will keep my hair until late, colour and all. You may hate your receding line, but hey, there's still hair! Undoubtedly if it turns out I have the long lasting genes, I will make fun of you, but for now we can dread together.

Still no answers to my questions though. Any help? I collected all the trinkets they want, even overpriced passport photos, and will send them by the end of tomorrow for sure, one way or another.

2. Who decided this accommodation paper was to be glossy?

Iles Colour Print.

Now I have a question. Why did you want to know?
this is a bit of a random question, and will probably make me sound like a right hippy, but can you burn incense and stuff in your rooms?! i sometimes burn it to relax and so on, but i was looking through some rules and it said "no candles, burning joss sticks" and so on - will it set off fire alarms or can you get away with it?!
Don't.

It will probably set off the fire alarm and piss everyone off. In Badock this year, some idiot set off the fire alarm the day before loads of people had an exam, pain in the *****ing arse that was.

Plus, as you say, you're pretty much told not to.

Is there a difference between a biro and a ballpoint pen?

Wow, I always thought they were two different things, but it turns out I am in fact wrong (according to Wikipedia, anyhow)...
...I need to revise my entire life philosophy  .

What?! I'm convinced they're different things...
People tend to refer to biro's as the cheap versions of ballpoint pens that cost about 10p, they're not refillable. Whereas ballpoint pens from firms like Parker are better quality and you can buy refills for them.

Why do you say that? The accomdation booklet suggests the number of apllicants choosing it as first choice is equal to or less than the number of places. Is university hall really as bad as some people seem to be making out it is?

ohmygod!!
you're in [or were in] gorseinon college too?!!?!?

Oh btw, I found this back in my folders while I was sorting out old school documents. I just scanned it, thought it might be useful (it's based on the interpretations I got from the forum).

Used to sit 1st or 2nd row, next to Stefan and Joe, we had dave and pete lecturing us. Did the oxbridge thing as well, helped for getting an interview, but no help after that!

Apologies to other readers of this thread, this has got nothing to do with Bristol Accommodation, so to make this more on topic I'll probably end up in HB (if I get the grades!)
