Hi. Basically for my A2 Investigation for English I am looking at a variety of adverts from the 50's and from today and looking and how they portray the product differently through the means of lexis choice, graphology and then discourse.

The problem is that im not particularly clear on what im looking at when its regarding discourse and was recommended to do this framework because it holds a beefy lot of marks. So can anyone please explain what it is and what kind of things I look out for when analysing with the framework of discourse?

PS: Im looking at airline adverts and also analysing the portryal of gender, wealth, attitudes towards flying (exclusivity of the 50's compared to common place of the present).
