I thought I'd start a thread to see if there is anyone else doing history on here - everyone seems to do sciency/mathsy subjects!!
If there is I thought it'd be interesting to know where other history people have applied and to post here when they recieve offers. That way we can see if we've applied to similar uni's and how quickly they respond/what sort of offers they make etc.
Anyway for starters;
I'm applying for history (funnily enough!) and I've applied to,
Bristol
Birmingham
Edinburgh
Manchester
Newcastle
Sheffield
My UCAS was processed on 27th October and i have had no offers/rejections yet!

I'm applying for history, too!
I'm applying to:
St. Andrews - Ancient History w/ Archaeology
Edinburgh - Ancient History w/ Classical Archaeology
Glasgow - History
Stirling - History
Dundee - History
Aberdeen - History
I haven't yet sent off my application - my school sends them all off at the end of December, which I'm a little pissed about, since I want to get mine in as early as I can!

It's an Arts degree, so naturally, isn't focused toward any career in particular, but for me, that's a good thing - I haven't a clue what I want to do after uni!
I figure that I like history, so I might as well go on and get a degree in something I love, and then worry about a job afterward.

Hey everyone, i am a new gal
Anyways, I applied to the following (as a Post-Alevel applicant):
Oxford (Pembroke college)
LSE
Durham (University college)
UCL
Kings
Royal Holloway
I actually started my first year at La Sorbonne in Paris reading History..but due to financial reasons have had to come back to lovely old England.
I have had to send off work to Oxford. What work did you guys send off, are you happy with it? Anyone else here happen to apply to Pembroke? I have heard from Durham, questioning whether i wanted to consider 2nd year entry...which i do not want to do. Other than that, i have not had any offers
Hope you all get the offers you want

So, of those applying for history... tell me, what A-Levels did you take?
Other than history (I'm currently doing AS), I've taken only maths/science subjects. Hypothetically, if I were to choose to study history at uni (simply keeping my options open at this point) would this hinder me?
Thanks.
