How to write a good synopsis?

hey guys,

I need to write up a synopsis for a critical essay. It has to be about 500 words. Im slightly confused on how to do this. We have been told we should obviously give examples from the essay. However it says you should also disagree with one point and discuss,im just wondering how should i go about that in the synopsis,and would be better to stick to the one essay, or bring in other essays, perhaps that will be confusing as it is a synopsis for one essay. lol Oh and how should i start the introduction for a synopsis? Any ideas?.
