if its a big boots then you'll be Pulling forward in the beginning. And getting stuff out then they will train you on the tills. Do you know if you’re getting till trained on the induction? Cus I didn’t.
OMG also you have to watch this fire safety video made in the 80 or 70 or even later with this guy who has a hideous hair style! LOL that was so boring.
£7.31!!! I only got £6.17 and time n half on suday n i thought that was good lol

I don't know if I'll get till trained.

I hope I don't laugh at the safety video.

Working in Central London so I think that's why I get paid so much.

How long did you work there for?

OMG I hated working at boots. So glad I left!!!! The staff there were so unfriendly and rude it was sort of disgusting.

but yeh, hope your time is a bit better, I got till trained on the induction, it's really easy, but there tills were a bit complicated compared to what I had used before.

But just wear something smart, casual.

Definitely. Lol

Sparkle - I worked at Superdrug before so I hope the tills are similar. Money was crap at Superdrug. Thanks.

Cousto - I applied online.
I just realised what I said was really rude, you could be bricking yourself for all I know, I hope you have more fun than I did!

Well they didn't make me 'pull forward' in the beginning! I work at a big Boots store (Hammersmith branch actually, on the broadway) they put me on the tills on my very first day. If you have till experience I think they can be quite lenient with you. And I didn't have a "proper" induction either, but for the first few days I just wore black trousers and a white shirt. I don't think they're too fussed, so long as you're dressed fairly smart (not OTT though) and look presentable.

Also, I absolutely love my job. Hopefully you'll enjoy it too. The staff are all so friendly, the environment is generally nice, the job is fun, the pay is good (yep £7.32!) and the hours are perfect for me to be getting £600 a month while in full time education!

I live near Hammersmith!

Did any of you go to induction at the store you were employed to work at? I have to go to a different store.

Is this the Red Carpet induction? I went to mine at Bond Street.. is it the same for you??

If it is, definitely do not wear jeans/trainers. One day of the induction involved boring stuff like a cheesy movie about why Boots is so awesome and silly quizzes on the products etc. But part of the induction involved us going out onto the shopfloor and directly approaching customers. For that reason it's best you dress fairly smart...

I have to go to the Chelsea store. Sheesh, how long does this Red Carpet induction last?
Reply 19
Umm well ours lasted 2 days, but I think you get paid for it, and because I went to my induction after 1 month of working there I just had a laugh with my colleagues so it wasn't too bad. Some parts of it are soooo boring though.

Everyone who went to the induction were dressed quite smart, but not strictly black and white colours, and outfits for girls were usually nicely accessorised. Whereas me and my friend Emma just went in with trainers and jeans. Lol. Don't do that.

Are you male or female btw?
