At least you can go on to study A-levels, as they only need 5 GCSEs.

Most people have 11-14 GCSEs because maybe they are forced to do that much? I know from my bro that almost every single student did 11-14 GCSEs.

I did 10 GCSE's which was standard at my school.

Don't really know of any additional GCSE's I could have done.. Urdu maybe :eek:

10 was enough for me...I was so tired by the end of the exams just from revision! Not that I did loads but exams just knacker me!

I'm not sure there's much point in doing more than 10 cos thats totally acceptable for uni but I'd never knock anyone who did more!

i cudnt do anymore cuz unfortunately my school didnt offer any more subjects that i was really interested in (only 3 other ones)..i wud've liked t do at least ten...oh wellll

I did 9.5 (RS was a short course). I think most people did more because they did GNVQ ICT, which counts as 4 GCSEs, or applied ICT double award, which counts as 2. I chose to do an AVCE, so it doesn't equate to GCSEs. Some people also did another GNVQ instead of 2 of their options, and some people diid short course PE, so the maximum number of GCSEs was 16! :eek:

English, English lit, maths, double science, a language, short course PE, a technology, GNVQ ICT, short course RS and another GNVQ (business, health and social care or leisure and tourism).

our school does 10, and i'm taking another - classical greek, learning it in break times. i am doing this so i have more chance of getting a tie with squirrels on.

i suppose 10 is a nice number. any more may be superfluous, and any less would just be too easy...

Everyone at my school does 9.5. We don't have the option of doing any more though some people are doing the extra work to turn their short course into a full course.
