    Greetings all.

Just wondering how many of the people here did the 3.25 hours physics olympiad paper on Friday? How did it go? Mine was pretty...pretty bad. How is yours?

Anyone know when are we going to get the result?

*Don't forget, SMC is on Tuesday.

    I got it tomorrow

    expecting pretty bad result too

    any "tips"?

I didn't do it (don't do physics ) but it seemed OK to me, I could do a fair bit of q1, another question and q9...

You should get the result in about 4 weeks.

yeah pray and hope hes listening. U'll never get past the first 3 questions. If you get 20% + then you get like into the next round! It will take like 90 mins to do the first 2 questions. Post the quwestions here tommorow to have a discussion about it after uve done em.

    Lol
    Thanks for the confidence boost

I am hoping that he reads this...

Will post what questions i remember here.

Hey theone... you don't happen to know any of the questions by any chance?

Although edders ain't here, I think it's safe to say that you can post after the exam, but beforehand, no-no

And i'd just revise all of A-Level physics if I were you.

nah not giving questions its gotta be fair, just make a list of the formulae u know, theres so much stuff outta syllabus for A2 that its not surprizing most ppl cant do it.

Its after the exam for most people
    But not for me...

I ain't gonna bother revising for it but will revise my module 4 physics for the January exam hopefully something similar will come up in one of the questions.

Hopefully I can guess enough to get through. If not, it doesn't matter too much; I think one of the papers after is 5 hours, can't be arsed with that. Well thats my excuse anyway

    Cheers anyway

One word to summarise it: Impossible!!!

I don't see anyone getting a good mark unless they have a degree in physics.

I was thiking "WTF?" during 99% of the paper

Question 1 was almost longer than whole A2/AS Modules!!!

Well I guessed most of it and I can only hope...

I told you 9 was easy enough

yup i agree 9 was fairly straight forward
just a case of drawing a good graph and estimating the half life
    can't remember 2nd part though

but I guessed most of the other questions other than the ones about simple mechanics which were easy too.

There was no need for a graph for the first 13 marks there was a nice trick.
