Lol if the uni would have the name Oxbridge it would be hilarious, though unfortunately I bet that would only worsen the brain drain.

could become more efficient wih services and management...therefore more ecomonically viable, and hence it could potentially save a lot of money! so i suppose 'oxbridge' as you've coined it, could be bettter off financially.

small problem of couple hundred miles.

and anyway, i dont want to go to a uni called oxbridge!

This is just speculation, but wouldn't Oxbridge receive far less money from the government seing as how it would be only 1 uni?
