What does the 'general interview' involve? It's with P. S. if that helps.
Reply 462
I'm guessing most of us are interviewed now (the Scientist and Mathmos that is)

Christ's College has always begun interviewing earlier than most other Colleges. This year interviews for Natural Sciences, Medical Sciences and Mathematics will start on Monday 10th November and will, in most cases, be finished by Friday 5th Decemeber.

Do you reckon Christ's post the decisions on the 2nd January as opposed to later as the interviews were so early?

I'm assuming all of the Colleges will post them as early as they can. It's hard to imagine that they would want to hold back the results, and I suspect they will have decided before the 2nd. I'm more curious as to whether they will email results as they did with interviews

I think the letter-sending date is set by the university, so all colleges are the same.

Typewritten?
Don't panic if you don't get your letter on time from Christ's. When they took me from the pool they casually sent my letter four days after the "You've definitely not got into Cambridge" deadline date.

Cheers. How confident are you? Oh, and I swear whenever I log on to TSR I see your avatar in the recently posted threads bit. Always, of course, in the maths forum.

My confidence fluctuates enormously, so there'd be little point in me saying anything.

Always in the maths fora. With good reason.

There equation is relating the number of ways to express a number as the sum of kk squares with the volume of a unit ball (in kk dimensions) the last expression is the formula for that ball. Cool huh? Credit to sohanshah
