how to loose weight in certain areas

i dnt really need to loose any weight at all, jst want to loose a bit... i cox for a mens crew and with regatta season coming up, i want to be as close to 55kg or under as possible... atm im about 58kg and im eating healthy foods, etc... though i could defo do more exercise.

Thing is, i dnt know what exercises to do... i think running will be gd, and have started that, and sit ups too. I have a size 8 waist, but have to get size 10/12 trousers so they look ok and so want my bum and thighs to be smaller - more in relation to my top half.

So... does anybody know any good exercises to get my bum and upper legs smaller in size - meaning i should get down to 55kg or a bit less - is running good or not for this? Anything else that might work? I used to run loads when was younger and was thinner then... but am not sure if that was due to running or jst being younger.

Any ideas/ past experiences of success stories would be grt!

Of course a meat cleaver wouldn't hurt, not in the slightest...
Make sure you get trained, professional people to do it for you though...

kelloggs recommend subbing one meal a day with a bowl of cereal for 2 weeks to drop a jeans size. basically instead of having a bowl of cereal and 2 "normal" meals, you have 2 bowls of cereal, and 1 normal meal, as long as it's a well balanced meal and you still make sure you get 5 portions of fruit/veg.

However it's only sensible if your BMI is over 25, which yours is almost certainly not, so try doing it on occasional days, or for one week, and see if that helps. I do it for a few days before a big party or a holiday if I'm feeling a bit flabby, along with some gentle toning excercises, and it works for me. But make sure you dont do it for too long, and make sure your third meal is a good one.
