i had something rather similar to that a year ago or so.....my doctor put it down to anxiety or stress...but he said it "might" be some trapped air in your lungs. The feeling I had was that I wasnt able to fill my lungs as fully as I wanted...like I needed to take more breaths than I wanted to...and this made me feel dizzy, because you actually DONT need to take that many breaths...so you are actually hyperventilating when you get dizzy.

if that sounds familiar...just try and relax over it, and it should be gone in a couple of days...max a week. If you've had it for over 2 weeks i'd definitely see a doctor

that's what i would've thought if it wasn't for the shortness of breath.
Yes I'm asthmatic but it's not the same kind of shortness of breath,it kind of feels different to my asthma.

Anxious about exams I guess but I don't know if I would say it was to the extent it would affect my health.

What would cause a low B.P?*scared*

well then just try to relax. I had it for a week and a half before I was fully over it. AS I say, if you have it for over 2 weeks, go see a doctor. But it's important not to stress about it, just relax your breathing...it will stop you hyperventilating and so you shouldnt feel dizzy. Try and chill out a bit as well if you've got a hectic life atm...watch some dvd's or something...be a bit of a slob, so that your mind is taken off your breathing!
my guy friend felt like that and it turned out to be diabetes. thats a worst-case scenario but it wouldn hurt to get to a doctor

and i'm sure he had other symptomns as well!

I just dont think you should be unncessarilly scaring people. If she's really worried about this then she can do see a doctor, but to me it sounds like EXACTLY what I had....and I was told by my doctor that I was being a bit of a hypochondriac and needed to relax, and if it wasnt gone in a few weeks time come back and see them
Thanks for you help people!

Hmm diabetes, well I got tested for that a few years back as the doctors seemed to think I had it(displayed alot of the symptoms)but I didn't...

Lack of iron..well I am vegetarian so hmm.

I think if it continues for much longer I'll see a doctor, even if I hate going.

I'd recommend seeing a doctor.

How does your vegitarian diet work? How do you replace the things the body normally gets from meat?
