I have a very very VERY sore blister on my foot! :frown: My foot was painful all of yesterday and today. I assumed that it was just from walking a lot but just there i noticed that i had a blister. I've never had one before so i really need advice on how to get rid of it quickly and easily and preferably without much pain.

Resist the temptation to burst the blister. You could cause an infection, or hinder your body's healing process.
If the blister has burst, don't peel off the baggy skin pocket let your body heal the area in its own way and in its own time.
Frequently wash the area and keep it free from dirt or irritants.
If the site of the blister makes it vulnerable to popping (for example, a blister on your foot may be broken by the friction of socks or shoes), pad it with a soft dressing, securely taped.
Don't use tape alone, as removing the tape may rip the skin off the blister.
Change the dressing daily.
Zinc cream may help to dry up your blister. However, don't use zinc cream with a dressing.
If the blister breaks, press gently to remove the fluid and apply an antiseptic to reduce the risks of infection.

Thank you very much!
My mum told me to burst it and put cream on it but i told her i couldn't do it for the pain. Would Germaline be ok on it? I don't think i have anything else that i could use really.

Yeah, its fine - its an antiseptic. Ask your mum to get you some Savlon Antiseptic Spray - its brilliant stuff, I used it on my lip ring when I first got it - its like water so its not greasy and you dont get any pain from having to rub a cream in - great if you accidentally pop the blister as it just soaks in
Don't do what I do.I always have the urge to stick a pin in it and squirt all the fluid out.Feels nice at the time but kills for days afterwards!

Thats what i really wanted to do but if it will cause more pain then i really wont be doing that. I'll go put germaline and a plaster on it.
Thanks everyone.
Jesus its a fricking blister...

I brought new football boots a month ago and they are still cutting up my feet, welcome to my world darlin

If you peel or cut the dead skin off around the blister, (dont cut or tear into the living skin cos that hurts real bad) then wear comfortable shoes and drive everywhere for a week or so
