Vicodin and Morphine...

Does anyone know what it is that might make me allergic to both vicodin and morphine? When i take it i get really itchy and sometimes get hives. I want to know what it is that is in both of those, so that i can stay away from other medicines that have the same affect on me. Does anyone know? :confused:

I know that the vicodin contains hydrocodone and I think some types of morphine do. It could be that.

Morphine is an opioid analgesic, whilst Vicodin is a morphine derivative. You may be allergic to opium alkaloids at a guess?
