ill - need to fix

I've been ill today. I woke up with strange eye weirdness  bits of vision were just missing, watching tv i just couldn't see bits of people's faces.

Then i developed a migraine and started throwing up. I kept being sick until there was nothing left to throw up, then I was sick some more. I was left just bringing up blue coloured bile looking stuff. (sorry for the details, but it might mean something specific).

I took some paracetamol and slept through the afternoon. Just left with post-sick wobbly feeling in head and stomach now. I've eaten, just a sandwich, waiting now to see if I'll keep it down.

Does it sound like anything specific is wrong with me?

I've got to be at Croft (circuit) from 9-5 tomorrow, and am driving to London to work for a magazine there for two weeks on Wednesday, so I really really don't have time to be ill.

What can I take? How can I make it go away really really quickly?

Sounds to me like you just had a really really bad migraine. Blurred or weird vision can often be the beginnning of a migraine and then you are very often sick with it which takes the pain in the head away but leaves you feeling ill and weak and wobbly. I had one once, f*cking awful it was.

Sounds like your average migraine to me. Make sure your hydrated and dont eat your typical trigger foods eg wheat, caffeine and dairy. Unfortunatly there is no miracle cure. Best to keep a diary of what you did and ate up to the migraine and look back and see if their are any common causes throughout. Keep some migraleve on you and if you do start getitng the funny eye and weird head take the medication as soon as.

You can't be feeling too bad now if you can go on the computer, when i get bad migraines I can't even look at a computer screen for a couple of days after.

Yeah, I'm feeling alright now. I just don't want the sickness to come back when I eat something.

Thank you

Presumably migraleve will be at the chemist? Is it tablet, medicine or something else?

Get better soon!

I'd advise plently of sleep and a big hug xxxxx

Yeah its a tablet and you need the combined colour tablets. They're about £5 but worth keeping on you along with a bottle of water. If you get them more frequently see your GP about trying something new.

I think it's an over the counter migraine remedy. Usually tablets

Thank you both  I'll stop by them chemist in the morning.

I never get ill, so this is a bit new to me... I'm guessing it would be a little optimistic to hope it will be free because I'm a student?

Yes, hope you feel better soon, and it isn't something that reoccurs often
