My teeth, just ****** up

it's only in the last year that i've really taken much noticed of my teeth as i've gotten older. as a kid, i couldn't care less and there was peer pressure ' traintracks ' etc. so I never did anything. But I really despie my teeth. I am almost 19, even if I could do something there is the money matter and who wants to wear a brace for x amount of years at 19? Somewhat off putting, especially if you want to get a girlfriend, however shallow that may sound. the top set are ok at best, but it's still not right, my bottom set are horrendous, like a zig zag. fortunately i don't care TOO much for my bottom set as it never really shows. But I still despise it totally, and my top set, I wish they looked better.

If I take photos of my top set, some of them from certain angles come out ok (at best), and other comes out horrible. In the future is there any quick procedure I can do to just like replace the whole dam thing? Get like fake teeth and replace each and every one? Or some kind of surgery that sorts it all out, and makes it even and straight? I wish I could do something now, but it really is too late and it feels like my only option is when I'm older and well off financially, and to then have some kind of surgery or something.

You can get Invisalign which are invisible aligners that go over your teeth and straighten them without any braces or wires.

Google it. But I'll warn you, it's really expensive.
I think there is some surgery you can have, like to fix them during an operation but it won't be pleasant, and having a brace would be a lot easier/cheaper (even though I think £2000 when going private now)

Were you advised to get a brace when you were younger?

I can't rememeber if I was advised, my mum told me to get it done though but she tells me I didn't want it.

There's no way I'm paying £1400 or £2000 etc. lol!

Can you even get a brace at 18/19? I was told since 17 that's it's late. And even then I don't even want a brace at this age, rank.

You could get veneers? But those are probably really expensive. Also I would hate the thought of having my teeth filed down to pegs and fake ones put on instead.

Loads of people have braces beyond your age, and the end result is always worth it. I know a 25 year old that has paid £2000 for her top and bottom teeth to be sorted out.
Depending on how bad your teeth are you probably wouldn't have to have it for that long, but I guess it is down to the money

You might not even need full traintrack braces, a retainer at night might do the trick or something along those lines

so why is it that every time I had like a check-up all I ever got told was that it's a bit late now. it sounds like the general concensus.
To be honest you're being a complete retard, OP. If you can a brace fitted on the NHS get it done, as in NOW. Get on the waiting list, and don't be so ******* ridiculous about the peer pressure and getting a girlfriend, some people actually find it attractive and at least it shows that you're taking an interest in your health and appearance, as opposed to rotten, crooked, minging teeth that will plague you your whole life and prevent you ever getting a decent girlfriend.

EDIT: You need to go to a different doctor, it's never too late to get a brace fixed.

It's too late to get them for free. You can still get them on the NHS and pay less but I would imagine there will be a waiting list. Alternatively you can go private and face the fact that it WILL be expensive. That's why they give you braces when you're a kid, because they are free.

Sorry, but if you didn't get them sorted when you COULD, then it's your fault.

I haven't had mine sorted through years and years of problems (won't refer me until I get through a year of no work on my teeth, root canals, blah blah blah) and I'm wondering whether it will be worth it but one day I might just have to bite the bullet and go get braces, or pay a little extra for nicer ceramic ones.
Pics or gtfo!

Exactly, there are people with worse teeth than that you f***, dont get your teeth fixed, cause you'll just be wasting money and time when other people need it more.

It's never too late to get braces. But you'll need to settle for them if you aren't going to pay for the invisible aligners (which was a very good suggestion, by the way) and accept the social implications, which you're probably overreacting about anyway. Changing your body is expensive, but if you REALLY despise something about yourself, you'll go the extra mile to have it done.
They don't look that bad to be fair.
I had braces when I was younger for an underbite, I didn't want them either at age 12 but they make so much difference, especially for me concerning my jaw. I say go for it if you can afford it.

im 16, nearly 17 and im just about to be fitted with my first set of aligners from invisalign. the whole treatment of 12 months worth of aligners, teeth whitening and a permanent retainer fitted at the end is costing me 2.5k. normal braces cost about the same at my dentist, so yeah. my teeth arent even that bad, i just want them perfecto!
